Life

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. — English Proverb

Film

I love films. I savor every moment spent watching a great movie, and I cherish every second inside a cinema. Films are not only dream-making machines, they also carry the full weight of human philosophical reflection. Through cinema, I explore both the darkest corners of human emotion and the noblest of virtues—the echo of human nature.

To date, I have watched more than 1,400 films, and below are ten of my most beloved among them.

Tree of Life (Terrence Malick, 2011) The Boys from Fengkuei (Hsiao-Hsien Hou, 1983) Manhattan (Woody Allen, 1979) GoodFellas (Martin Scorsese, 1990) Peppermint Candy (Lee Chang-dong, 1999) Through the Olive Trees (Abbas Kiarostami, 1992) Fallen Angels (Wong Kar-wai, 1995) A Confucian Confusion (Edward Yang, 1994) Aftersun (Charlotte Wells, 2022) Green Snake (Hark Tsui, 1993)

“After the invention of film, human life has been extended at least threefold.” — Yi Yi, Edward Yang

Travel

I love traveling. I enjoy stepping into a bustling and unfamiliar city, experiencing people’s ways of life and the vibrancy of everyday moments. I also enjoy witnessing magnificent and vast natural landscapes, bearing witness to the beauty of nature. Through traveling, I come to know the world, and through traveling, I come to know myself. So let’s hit the road and begin those days between departure and arrival. See you down the road.

Below are some of the cities I have visited and photos I took during the journeys.
